Life vest, briefing, health conditions, sea hygiene — a checklist for a safe Kemer experience.
Watersports are very safe when done with proper equipment and rules. Here is a practical checklist for activities in Antalya Kemer.
1. Choose a Certified Operator
Operating watersports in Kemer without a municipal licence is illegal. Make sure the operator has a port authority licence, equipment insurance and third-party liability insurance. Ours are displayed at the facility.
2. Life Vest Is Mandatory
Always wear a CE-certified life vest. Reject any without CE markings. Children should wear one even on a boat trip.
3. Health Check
Consult your doctor or skip the activity if you have:
- Heart or blood pressure conditions
- Severe back or neck issues
- Pregnancy
- Recent surgery
- Epilepsy or fainting history
4. Alcohol & Activity
Alcohol before watersports is strictly prohibited. Save the celebration for afterwards — for both safety and insurance validity.
5. Sunscreen
SPF 50+ recommended. Sea water removes even strong sunscreen in 1-2 hours; the UV is stronger at parasailing altitude.
6. Jumping Rule
Never jump into unfamiliar water. Rocky bottoms can cause serious injury. Only jump at points our crew marks as safe.
7. Don't Skip the Briefing
The 5-10 minute safety briefing before each activity is a condition of your insurance. Hand signals, emergency procedures and equipment use are explained.
8. Phone & Valuables
We keep them safe in our free shore safe. If you take them with a waterproof case, you assume responsibility.
First Aid
All our instructors have first-aid certification. The facility has a defibrillator and a full first-aid station. Kemer State Hospital is 1.5 km away.
